Job summary
Granite City Electric Supply in Taunton, MA seeks a professional NON CDL Delivery Night Driver to join the transportation team. You will load the truck, deliver to customer locations, and maintain safety and accuracy across routes.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- CDL experience of at least 3 years.
- Hoisting/ Hydraulic License experience of at least 3 years.
- Forklift and warehouse equipment knowledge preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in all weather conditions.

- Load trucks and deliver packages, driving to customer locations per routes.
- Safely operate trucks over 10,000 lbs and maintain safety standards.

Granite City is seeking a professional NON CDL Delivery Night Driver to join our growing transportation team in Taunton, MA! The ideal candidate is a punctual, detail-oriented team player who can deliver our products on time and professionally, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Candidate is responsible for cross checking orders while loading the delivery truck. Safely and efficiently drive to customer locations following assigned routes. Unload and deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure accurate and complete delivery of products. Maintain the delivery vehicle in good condition, performing routine checks and reporting any issues. Keep all paperwork current and accurate, including logs, delivery receipts, and any other relevant documentation. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our products are delivered professionally and on time. The normal schedule for this position is a 4-day work week, approximate hours 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM (position times may vary slightly), allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Starting salary $27.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

- Load trucks and deliver packages by driving, climbing in and out of the vehicle, and working in all weather conditions.
- Deliver loaded pallets to job sites, customer shops, Granite City branches and depots safely and punctually.
- Safely operate Department of Transportation regulated vehicles weighing over 10,000 lbs.
- Follow strict safety standards on and off the road.
- Solve problems independently using critical thinking skills.
- Interact professionally and positively with customers and other Granite City departments.
- Communicate with supervisors to maintain efficiency in driving routes.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and attend meetings as requested.
- Participate in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the position.
- Maintain high order accuracy and ensure on-time delivery.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least three (3) years of Commercial Driver License (CDL) experience
- At least three (3) years of Hoisting License / Hydraulic License experience
- Knowledge of and experience with forklift operations and warehouse equipment preferred.
- Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.
- Pass the required Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) and background screening.
- Punctuality and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Minimum of three years of previous delivery or truck driving experience.
- Must be able to understand maps/GPS.
- Ability to walk/stand/sit.
- Ability to push/pull/lift to 70lbs repetitively.
- Must be able to bend, twist and stoop frequently.li>
- Must be able to climb in and out of truck routinely.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
