Job summary

Heaven Hill Brands in Bardstown, KY is seeking a Distillery Technician - Nights to operate distillery processes on a 12-hour night schedule (6p–6a) within a 3+3+1 pattern. The role covers start-up, run, and shutdown of distillery operations, including yeast propagation and by-product handling.

Ideal candidates hold a two-year technical degree, 2+ years in spirits, and are certified for forklift operation; Bennett Mechanical Test completed is required. Lean/CI certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or higher in a technical field.
• At least 2 years' experience in the distilled spirits or equivalent industry with automated control systems.
• Completion of Bennett Mechanical Test is required.
• Distilled Spirits Certificate or Lean/Continuous Improvement certification preferred.
• Forklift certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor distillery processes from start-up to production of distillate and byproducts.
• Cross-train across distillery technician tasks with high proficiency.
• Work in a self-directed team focused on safety, quality and productivity.
• Operate wastewater pretreatment plant and related equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance and distillery teams to meet KPIs.
• Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage with guests and stakeholders to share knowledge about distillation and Heaven Hill products.
