Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc in Sewickley, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Main Campus team. This full-time, overnight role provides individualized care to residents with complex needs and requires lifting and transfers.

You will participate in daily living activities, record progress, assist with meals, transport clients, and support with personal hygiene. Two weeks of paid training start on day one, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.
• Two weeks paid training provided by Verland.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents in a safe environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Record observations and daily progress notes.
• Plan social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and housekeeping tasks.
• Transport clients to appointments in Verland vehicles.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Perform laundry duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
