Job Description

Repairs and maintains equipment.

Essential Duties
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on engines/machinery
  • Troubleshoot and repair transmissions, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, injectors, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, pumps, and valves
  • Install and adjust brakes, batteries, tires, safety devices, hydraulic hoses, and fittings; overhaul equipment as needed
  • Inspect equipment for deficiencies and make routine adjustments; secure tools, parts, and equipment
  • Recommend outsourcing repairs; provide road service to fleet vehicles and grounds equipment
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
  • Communicate with shop foreman
  • Maintain and secure work tools
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Turn off and lock equipment when not in use
  • Operate power tools following safety policies
  • Wear prescribed personal protective equipment
  • Follow safety policies and participate in safety training
  • Report accidents and near misses immediately
  • Comply with all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance
