Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Minimum age to obtain a drive for hire endorsement varies per state and insurance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be appropriately dressed for the elements (PPE as required).
• Load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• Operate, navigate and drive all company fleet vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Plan delivery routes with the shipping supervisor to maximize efficiency on the road.
• Meet and/or exceed delivery deadlines.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions for assignments.
• Assist in loading/unloading of company fleet trucks.
• Follow DOT policy on Load Securement, transport of dangerous goods, and vehicle operation.
• Provide on-the-job training to new/junior drivers as required.
• Assist with incident reports related to health and safety.
