Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to stock and maintain dairy and freezer sections, ensure product freshness, and support overall perishables operations. You will help with merchandising, inventory checks, and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced club environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and proactive service to Members. At least 18 years old with experience in dairy or retail is preferred; basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planogram integrity in dairy and freezer: stock all dairy and freezer products according to company planograms to maintain visual standards and ensure consistent member experience.
• Maintain cold chain and in-stock accuracy: monitor temperature control and replenish low or missing items to ensure freshness and availability.
• Execute proper product rotation: apply FIFO rotation procedures to reduce waste and maintain quality.
• Conduct quality and date checks: regularly inspect products for expiration dates and condition, removing damaged or outdated items.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance: follow all standards, including routine cleaning of coolers, freezers, equipment, and shelving.
• Ensure product availability: monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment efforts to maintain a full department.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing: verify items are signed and priced correctly to avoid confusion.
• Support seasonal merchandising initiatives: assist with transitions and plans to drive sales.
• Comply with all policies and procedures: execute operations in alignment with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned: provide additional support across departments as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance: demonstrate consistent presence to support operations.
