Iona University in New Rochelle, NY is seeking a Night Custodial Supervisor to oversee the night shift custodial staff and coordinate cleaning activities to ensure campus buildings are clean, safe, and ready for daily operations. The role involves assigning tasks, inspecting work, training staff on procedures and equipment, monitoring attendance, and reporting maintenance issues to keep facilities in top condition.

This position also supports campus events and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising custodial staff.

Responsabilités

• Assign and coordinate nightly cleaning tasks and work alongside staff as needed.
• Inspect work performed by custodians under supervision to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Train staff on cleaning procedures and safe use of equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
• Monitor staff attendance and ensure duties are completed within scheduled hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and report replacement needs.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and unusual conditions identified during shifts.
• Coordinate cleaning and setup needs for campus events and special activities.
• Assist the snow removal team as required.
• Address performance concerns and administer disciplinary actions per University policies.
• Communicate shift updates and outstanding issues to the Custodial Manager and incoming staff.
