Position: Custodial/Maintenance/Night Custodial Shift Leader

Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine and project cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, lavatories, and locker rooms, including tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, disinfecting, and furniture cleaning.
  2. Coordinate, schedule, and supervise custodial staff for project cleaning and building use, ensuring facility needs are met.
  3. Perform minor maintenance duties like changing filters, light bulbs, lubricating equipment, and small painting projects.
  4. Secure the facility by locking windows and doors, operating security lights, and activating alarms.
  5. Maintain exterior grounds, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
  6. Operate various cleaning and maintenance equipment.
  7. Report repairs to the head custodian.
  8. Supervise second shift custodial staff, including inspecting work, training, and performance reviews.
  9. Attend district-provided leadership training.
  10. Communicate with the head custodian and carry the building cell phone.
  11. Ensure building safety systems are operational and report issues.
  12. Possess or obtain a special engineer/boiler operator's license within 6 months.
  13. Maintain records and demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills.
  14. Complete a physical capabilities examination as required.
Work Details

8 hours per day, 12 months per year, from 2:30 to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Wages and Benefits

Minimum pay: $23.34/hour + $2.00/hour differential, with a 45-cent shift differential. Medical and dental benefits are available. View benefit details.
