Job summary

Graphic Packaging Visalia is seeking a 3rd shift Cup Room Operator to maintain heat seal and glue seal machines for paper cup production. You will load stock, monitor operations, and report quality issues to the Quality Dept and Packers. PPE required; overtime may be needed on weekends.

Responsibilities include keeping machines clean, adjusting fluids, and communicating with departments to ensure continuous operation of a 24/7 facility in Visalia.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years recent experience manufacturing/industrial machine operator experience required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time with scheduled breaks.
• Prior experience utilizing pallet jack - highly preferred
• Must be able to walk around machine/equipment frequently; surfaces are mostly concrete
• Must be able to lift/carry weight approximately 35 lbs; the average distance carried is approximately 5-10 feet
• Must be able to use a two-step stepstool, and 6 feet - 10 feet ladders with rails and a platform at the top for standing in order to access the equipment for inspection/maintenance/repair
• Must be able to bend forward momentarily up to 90 degrees when repairing or maintaining machines.
• Must be able to reach between waist and shoulder height which occurs on a frequent basis.
• Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Overtime will be required as necessary including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24 hour, 7 day/week basis.

Responsibilities

• Keep machines clean and in good working condition; clean spills in the production area.
• Monitor machine operation, check fluids, make adjustments.
• Load paper stock into the machine for production of paper cups.
• Communicate any quality problems to the Quality Dept and packers.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

WORK SCHEDULE: 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

PAY: $21.98 - $27.97

WORK DEVICES/TOOLS consist of the following: Bristol brush, latex gloves, paper, pen, grease pen, grease gun, Oil machines, standard tools (utility knife, wrenches, plyers, etc…)
