Northwest Healthcare's Oro Valley Hospital seeks a CT Technologist I to operate CT equipment, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging. You will prepare and maintain equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and deliver patient-centered care in a night-shift, full-time role.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, excellent communication, and teamwork within a fast-paced radiology department.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical radiology experience from an accredited program required.
• 2-4 years CT technologist experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required.
• CT certification or eligibility to obtain within six months of hire required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire.
• (R) ARDMS or ARRT radiographer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality images.
• Position patients for CT procedures with proper immobilization.
• Verify patient identification and physician orders; screen contraindications.
• Perform point-of-care creatinine testing and calculate GFR when needed.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide post-exam instructions.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.
• Assist with interventional CT procedures, including sterile setup.
• Review images for technical accuracy and communicate findings.
• Document patient history and correlate with imaging studies.
• Maintain QC checks on CT equipment; report malfunctions.
• Respond to emergencies per facility protocols.
• Keep work area clean, stocked, and compliant with safety guidelines.
• Follow PPE and infection control guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
