Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a Night Control Clerk for Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, FL. The role centers on maintaining safety, security, and smooth administrative operations at the control desk.

You will monitor entrances, oversee key control and log books, handle calls and tours, and assist with youth as needed while following emergency procedures. A HS diploma, 21+ age, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Able to pass criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test
• Able to pass DJJ and DCF background checks

Responsibilities

• Manage Control Desk operations to ensure safety and security of students, staff, and campus.
• Monitor entries, metal detector compliance, and key control.
• Handle daily clerical tasks: typing, reporting, filing, mail, tours.
• Answer calls and radio/intercom transmissions.
• Maintain vehicle calendar, logs, and restraint logs if applicable.
• Assist with youth on floor if needed.
• Know Emergency Evacuation plans and assist emergency personnel.
