Job summary

DePaul is hiring a Community Living Staff for Pan American Square, a CR-SRO program in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on assisting residents with service plan goals using a person-centered approach, with a pay rate of $21–$21.55 per hour.

Responsibilities include supervising medications, documenting progress, coordinating with the Residential Services Coordinator, and supporting daily operations, orientation, and safety within the building.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in a residential setting working with people in recovery from mental illness preferred.
• Valid New York State driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching, monitoring and recovery-oriented supports per OMH 595 including: Assertiveness/Self-Advocacy Training, Community Integration/Resource Development, Daily Living Skills, Health Services, Medication Management/Training, Parenting Training, Rehabilitative Counseling, Skill Development, Socialization, Substance Abuse Services, Symptom Management.
• Assist the Medication Coordinator with supervising resident medications per physician orders and policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation in resident medication records.
• Communicate resident status to supervisor and providers as needed.
• Complete documentation in resident files for psychiatric/medical concerns and progress.
• Support daily tasks, orientation of new residents, and discharge/transfer activities.
• Perform rounds at least 4 times per shift to monitor the program and address issues; coordinate with Overnight security for safety.
• Share information with supervisors about problems during shifts.
• Help residents maintain their personal rooms and participate in recreational activities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Be a team member for each resident and contribute to treatment team meetings.
• Provide safe transport of residents when needed.
