Job summary

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Night Coach Counselor for Les Peters Youth Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. This residential program serves female youth aged 14 to 19, offering comprehensive care and evidence-based mental health services.

The role provides 24-hour supervision and support within a structured environment. You will monitor behaviors, mentor the youth, and participate in activities during Recreation time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care role, or 60 college hours.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour supervision to ensure youth safety.
• Monitor and document youths' behaviors and progress.
• Escort and participate with youths during sports and recreation times.
• Mentor and support youths as they learn and develop within the program.

Les Peters Academy is a moderate risk residential commitment program for female youth aged 14 to 19. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

A youth’s length of stay is determined by the youth's assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan.

Pay: $19 Per hour

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor), you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time, and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should:

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
• Possess a valid Driver's License
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and TB Test.

Schedule: Our Youth Care Workers work 12-hour shifts.
