Job summary

Cheraw Healthcare is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide patient care in a long-term care setting. The role requires active SC CNA certification and good standing status.

You will work night shifts 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, perform resident rounds, assist with hygiene, grooming, feeding, and safety tasks, and document care activities as required. Responsibilities include following the chain of command, maintaining cleanliness, reporting incidents, and ensuring residents are properly cared

Qualifications

• Active SC Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Shift starts 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Check group assignment at main desk and feeding list.
• Go to assigned hall; learn residents' status with outgoing shift.
• Check shower list and residents assigned to get up.
• Give showers as scheduled; inform nurse if refused.
• Residents should be groomed; clothes weather-appropriate; nails clean; shave as needed.
• Offer resident snack if awake.
• Provide ice as needed.
• Report unusual incidents (falls, skin tears, bruises, behaviors).
• Keep rooms clean; turn and reposition residents as scheduled.
• Complete PCR books before end of shift; sign shower and snack lists.
• Keep closets clean; clean wheelchair and gerichairs; take assigned chairs for washing on Friday.
• Label and bag residents' personal belongings.
• Check vital signs weekly and PRN.
• Take dirty barrel out and bring empty barrel for next shift.
• Keep noise down; follow chain of command.
