Job summary

Hemet Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, CA seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II for night shift to perform specimen collection and bench testing in a fast-paced lab.

Under limited supervision, you may lead a shift and coordinate QC/QA, ensuring compliance with CA CAP and Cal/OSHA regulations; full-time benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, generous PTO, and pet insurance.

Qualifications

• CA license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Chemistry.
• 6–10 years’ experience in relevant lab areas, including transfusion services.
• Experience with state and federal regulations including CA, CAP, and Cal/OSHA.
• Lead CLS experience in one or more lab departments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects specimens and performs clinical laboratory tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Inputs data and retrieves reports from computer systems as needed.
• May serve as bench supervisor in absence of technical supervisor and lead shift CLS, coordinating QC/QA documentation.
