Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for night shifts in the Pharmacy department. The role involves ensuring proper storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications, interpreting orders for safety, and educating staff and patients.

You will help maintain regulatory compliance and participate in drug information activities. Required: PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, active pharmacist license in CT or NY, and at least 1 year of inpatient hospital experience or a PGY1

Qualifications

• Required: BS of Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital experience or PGY1 residency.
• Active Pharmacist license in NY or CT.

Responsibilities

• Perform storage, preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Interpret and evaluate physician orders for safety and appropriateness.
• Provide information and recommendations to ensure safe, timely and accurate administration of medications.
• Teach, educate and monitor staff and students as applicable.
• Oversee central pharmacy workflow and supervise technicians.
• Ensure compliance with USP 797/800 and hospital policies.
