Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Clinical Associate at Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. This full-time role works 36 hours per week on the night shift, with every other weekend and holiday rotations, under nursing supervision to assist with daily living activities and patient care.

Responsibilities include mobility, bed changes, specimen handling, point-of-care testing, vital signs, and Foley management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification.
• Must be CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation completed or 3 months of clinical care experience or have completed CATP.
• English reading/writing and effective communication with patients required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Reposition and ambulate patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Assist in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Maintain intake and output measurements.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
