Job Summary

Basic cleaning duties include cleaning all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, windows, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, drinking fountains, trashing, dusting, polishing, and other assigned items/areas. Multiple shifts are available, with options for full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform all basic cleaning tasks.
2. Clean restrooms, including restocking toilet tissue and dispensers, emptying trash, sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, and spot cleaning partition doors and walls. Sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinals.
3. Move and reposition furniture, vacuum, and empty trash, replacing liners as needed.
4. Check all trash containers before moving them.
5. Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, gum removal, dusting, and spot cleaning glass.
6. Address additional duties such as attending to flooded areas, spills, and related cleanup for trash and restroom issues.
7. Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 1 year of cleaning experience.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Willingness to work assigned hours.

Compensation

Harvard offers a compensation of $13.00 per hour.
