Job summary

ServiceMaster Clean - Austin, TX is seeking a lead cleaner to manage a team cleaning common spaces, rooms, restrooms, and break areas after school hours. The role runs Monday through Friday after 5pm, with occasional later starts for events.

Pay ranges from $16 to $19 per hour with opportunities for advancement within the company. You will use provided products and PPE, supervise staff, and ensure a clean, healthy environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience as custodian, janitor or housekeeper preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work after school hours and after 5pm.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
• Willingness to learn; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, polish, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Open/close facilities and enable/disable security system as required.
• Be in uniform, dependable and on time.

Job Position Description: This position is for leading a team to clean common spaces, rooms, restrooms, and breakroom after-hours at a school.

The work schedule is Monday thru Friday after 5pm. Occasionally there will be a later start time due to afterschool or weekend events.

Pay range for the lead is $16-19 per hour with opportunity for advancement within the company

This position is responsible for creating cleaner, healthier environments for our customers', their students and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• 1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
• Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
• Treat all co-workers and customers with courtesy and respect
