Job summary

ServiceMaster Clean is seeking a part-time/per-duty custodian to maintain clean, healthy environments for client facilities. The role runs Monday–Friday after 5pm, with potential for near full-time scheduling. You will perform cleaning tasks, manage supplies, and uphold safety standards using provided products and PPE.

Training is provided; prior experience with janitorial services is a plus. Strong reliability, teamwork, and English communication are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read cleaning instructions.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• 1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures.
• Cleaning duties include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash, windows and moving furniture and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required.
• Opens and locks facilities, enables and disables the security system as required.
• Provide on-the-job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
• Be flexible, work in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude, be in uniform, dependable and on time.
• Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers.

Job Position Description:

This Monday-Friday after 5pm position is responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments for our customer's buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. This position can be tailored for part-time or near full-time. Other duties may be Assigned:

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
• Cleaning duties include: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash, windows and cleaning and moving furniture and equipment etc..
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required.
• 1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper a plus but not required
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
