Job summary

Antech Diagnostics, part of Mars Science & Diagnostics, is seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Aide in our New York area. The role collects, identifies, and preprocesses chemistry samples, supporting the lab's daily operations on a 12am-8:30am shift.

You will work with barcoded tubes, load racks, operate instruments, ensure QC and calibration, and collaborate with senior staff. A high school diploma and lab familiarity are preferred; weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; lab experience preferred.
• Science knowledge and familiarity with lab terminology.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pour chemistry specimens into bar-coded tubes.
• Load racks onto instruments and verify barcodes.
• Label processing tubes accurately.
• Scan samples to library and reconcile queues.
• Centrifuge samples and maintain equipment.
• Follow SOPs and maintain organized workspace.
• Assist with quality control and calibration.
• Cross-train across departments as needed.
