Job summary

Pacific Living Centers, Inc. seeks Universal Caregivers to support residents in its Assisted Living and Residential Care Communities. You will provide direct daily care, communicate resident status to the team, and help maintain independence for residents.

No prior experience is required as ALL training is provided. A strong emphasis on compassion, teamwork, and confidentiality will guide your daily duties, including meals, grooming, and activities, within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience with working with seniors is preferred.
• Basic computer skills/knowledge is required.
• Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process).
• Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, activities and meals) in a compassionate manner.
• Medication setup and administration, after training.
• Update resident records in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health, behavior, and emotional condition to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with housekeeping, laundry, dining, and common areas.
• Prepare and cook food as required; assist with serving meals and dining room activities.
• Assist with daily scheduled activities and document participation.
• Attend staff trainings and in-service meetings; perform additional duties as assigned.
