FHE Health is hiring a Mental Health Specialist for the night shift in Boca Raton, FL. The role centers on supporting detox and behavioral health patients, assisting with admissions, daily activities, and crisis intervention.

The position requires CPR certification or the ability to obtain, CPI training or willingness to obtain, and an associate degree in behavioral health or equivalent experience in a mental health setting.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• CPI training or willingness to obtain.
• Must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles, if required.
• Certification or associate degree in behavioral health.
• Experience in a mental health/psychiatric facility preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist nursing staff with day-to-day processing of new admissions.
• Support patients entering treatment in the facility.
• Observe patient activity and maintain visible presence on campus.
• Assist patients with daily activities/ADLs as needed.
• Liaise between patients and treatment team; document observations.
• Recognize and respond to crises; provide interventions.
• Supervise patients during unpacking/packing.
• Maintain orderly conduct and safety of patients.
• Conduct searches of patient property and manage contraband.
• Observe urinalysis exams.
• Transport patients to appointments when necessary using company vehicle.
