Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join our production team in Wheeling, IL. You will follow detailed batch instructions to blend raw materials, operate high-speed mixing equipment, and ensure quality control while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, monitor machinery gauges, and keep precise production logs. Prior experience in manufacturing and a commitment to safety will help you succeed in a rotating shift role with

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Qualified to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Preferably 1 year experience in manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Experience monitoring gauges, dials, or machinery indicators is a plus.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment in a production setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select, pull, measure, and stage raw materials for manufacturing.
• Follow batch slip instructions to mix materials in high-speed mixers.
• Make lab adjustments and maintain raw material samples daily.
• Operate paint-making control systems and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor materials and finished goods for quality and compliance.
• Keep logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns timely.
• Maintain production records and support other departments to fulfill orders.
• Replenish inventory of parts and supplies as needed.
• Provide technical support and training to teammates.
• Suggest improvements to manufacturing procedures.
