Night Auditor Part-Time - SpringHill Suites
As an overnight Front Desk Agent, you are responsible for managing front desk operations and providing excellent customer service during the overnight shift. You must uphold high standards of service, align with the Marriott Brand culture, and work collaboratively with the front desk team. Your goal is to enhance the guest experience by meeting service standards, maintaining quality, exceeding expectations, and completing departmental objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Complete day-end closing functions, reconcile accounts, and correct errors.
- Prepare and post daily reimbursements, reconcile stays, update spreadsheets, and investigate discrepancies.
- Protect revenue by meeting occupancy thresholds (85-95%) when possible.
- Perform daily checklists, inspect in-house folios, and conduct bucket checks.
- Handle invoicing, payments, and bank deposits, and balance cash drawers.
- Prioritize tasks such as reservations, check-ins/outs, billing, and guest requests.
- Manage the registration process, assign rooms, code keys, and inform guests of their room details.
- Ensure compliance with brand and service standards, resolve guest complaints, and promote hotel services.
- Greet guests warmly, respond to inquiries, and communicate effectively.
- Complete shift reports and handle correspondence and guest mail.
- Monitor guest accounts, ensure accurate billing, and assist with check-out payments.
- Be knowledgeable about local attractions and provide recommendations.
- Adhere to Marriott's culture, values, and HR programs.
- Maintain professional appearance, follow dress code, and demonstrate positive body language.
- Proficiently use Property Management Systems (FOSSE, MGS, GXP).
- Maintain the lobby retail shop, keep workstation and lobby area organized.
- Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Manage the house bank and operate the cash register accurately.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks, support other departments, and assist with laundry as needed.
Requirements:
- At least one year of front desk experience, familiarity with FOSSE and Marriott systems preferred.
- Strong customer service background.
- Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to resolve guest issues effectively.
- Understanding of hotel operations and systems.
- Fluent in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Flexible with schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to handle internal and external customer interactions with tact and patience.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
Additional Notes:
Physical requirements include standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lbs. The hospitality environment operates 24/7, requiring a hospitable attitude at all times.
