Job description

The Night Auditor (Part Time Friday-Saturday) will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. The Night Auditor will also attend to guest needs such as check-in/check-out, making reservations, and answering guest questions.

  1. Proactively ensure guest security and maintain a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
  2. Count cash and maintain the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  3. Check the front desk log for issues and special requests.
  4. Greet guests, register, and assign rooms.
  5. Process guest registrations and payments.
  6. Prepare express checkout folios.
  7. Maintain room status inventory.
  8. Communicate shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and staff.
  9. Keep the lobby and bathroom clean as needed.
  10. Ensure smooth shift transitions by passing on pertinent information.
  11. Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure high-quality service.
  12. Answer inquiries about hotel services, amenities, and local recommendations.
  13. Complete all shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
