Job summary

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking an attentive Night Auditor to oversee overnight hotel operations, register late-arriving guests, and ensure accurate nightly accounting, while delivering friendly, professional service.

You will serve as Manager on Duty, run audits, and handle cash procedures, reservations, and front desk tasks. This on-site role suits dependable individuals who value hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a hotel, front desk, night audit, or similar role preferred.
• Basic understanding of hotel operations and front desk procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions.
• Ability to provide professional, courteous service to guests and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn property management and reporting systems.
• Availability to work overnight shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and register late-arriving guests, assign rooms, and accommodate special requests whenever possible.
• Check guests out efficiently and professionally.
• Assist with reservations, pre-registration, and room assignments.
• Respond to overnight guest questions, requests, concerns, and emergencies.
• Serve as the Manager on Duty and assist with resolving guest concerns.
• Audit group accounts to ensure postings align with applicable sales contracts.
• Run night audit reports and complete required accounting documentation.
• Follow established cash handling, credit, and check-cashing procedures.
• Complete daily front desk and night audit checklists accurately.
• Operate the hotel’s property management system and follow brand-specific front desk requirements.
• Stay informed about current hotel promotions, services, and amenities.
• Demonstrate hospitality and service standards.
