Night Auditor (Full-Time Seasonal) Summer 2025 (Administrative)

SUMMARY

Provide exceptional customer service while assisting lodging guests with check-in, check-out, and inquiries. Operate the main switchboard, process payments, and provide resort and area information. Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude to ensure guest satisfaction. As a customer-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests. A key role of every employee is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging guests at every opportunity. This is an overnight position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Check lodging guests in and out.
  2. Answer phones, direct calls, and answer guest inquiries.
  3. Process payments and explain billing details.
  4. Provide customer service, resolve guest issues, or escalate to management.
  5. Cross-sell resort products.
  6. Provide resort and area information to guests.
  7. Balance sales in the reservations system.
  8. Run the night audit, correct errors, and address posting issues.
  9. Work on holidays and weekends as required.
  10. Complete additional duties such as verifying reservations, light cleaning, running reports, and assisting with projects as time permits.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Report safety hazards and incidents promptly.
  • Follow safety policies and operate equipment safely.
  • Drive according to law and resort policies.
WORK SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT

Operation occurs seven days a week, including holidays. Hours are not guaranteed and flexible scheduling may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous guest service experience and computer skills are advantageous. Proven problem-solving skills are required.

SKILLS
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret documents, write reports, and communicate effectively.
  • Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to electrical shock, radiation, mechanical parts, outdoor weather, humidity, fumes, and noise. Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
