Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  • Communicating effectively with guests and team members.
  • Greeting arriving guests and completing check-in procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Facilitating guest departures by following established procedures for account settlement and room availability.
  • Calculating and posting monies, receipts, and guest accounts accurately using proper cash handling methods.
  • Answering inquiries and accepting reservations in person and over the phone, utilizing reservation guidelines, and promoting hotel services.
  • Maintaining good guest relations by staying informed about hotel and area functions to provide timely responses.
  • Operating PBX equipment for calls, wake-up calls, and guest communication.
  • Controlling and balancing cash and credit transactions, maintaining responsibility for personal bank.
  • Running the night audit to ensure all revenues are balanced nightly.
  • Assisting other team members and departments to enhance overall performance.
  • Delivering the "Home Away From Home" experience for guests.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Additional Details

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Independent Judgment: Within management guidelines and company policies.

Working Conditions: Front desk/lobby area, access to entire property.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years hotel front desk experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities: Good customer service, communication, organizational, basic accounting, typing, and computer skills. Dependability required.

Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 20 lbs, and other physical activities.
