The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework in related field helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot to resolve guest issues and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Effective communication skills to convey information clearly.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately.
- Work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
- Effective problem-solving skills in the workplace.
- Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed.
- Understanding of financial data and basic arithmetic functions.

Responsibilities
- Approach all guest and associate interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance as per hotel standards.

- Comply with all hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Run reports for food and beverage audits.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist daily.
- Balance the day's work, including revenue, postings, and paperwork.
- Maintain cashiering and front office system responsibilities.
- Perform all front office functions during overnight hours.
- Ensure building security through periodic checks.
- Handle guest requests during the shift.
- Follow safety and emergency procedures.
- Keep proper records and logs.
- Familiarize with hotel policies and house rules.
- Complete initial direct bills and attach backup documentation.
- Maintain radio contact with team members.
- Understand security procedures.
- Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, and courteous.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports.
- Transfer master accounts as needed.
- Distribute work and train new staff.
- Run morning reports and assign tasks like newspaper delivery.
- Conduct nightly walk-throughs for safety and cleanliness.
- Handle lost and found items according to standards.
- Complete reports and miscellaneous duties as required.
- Assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverages if applicable.
- Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
