Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing consistent, courteous service to all hotel guests, ensuring an optimal level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guests of same, whenever possible.
  • Responds to guests’ requests or inquiries courteously and promptly.
  • Prepares and distributes management reports to hotel administration and the Finance Department.
  • Audits all guest records, verifies credit card approval.
  • Posts room and tax charges to guest accounts.
  • Assists with duties related to housekeeping and front desk.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Some college education in hotel management or basic accounting preferred. Minimum of one-year accounting or audit experience required. Previous hotel/motel experience preferred.

Proficient accuracy in Basic Computer Literacy required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess effective communication and organizational skills. Must be able to maintain a professional, positive demeanor in stressful situations, remaining polite to the guests at all times.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Some analytical ability is required in order to summarize data for reports and find solutions to various administrative problems. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to prepare and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
