Job Summary

We are looking for a Night Auditor to prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel’s daily financial totals. This person will post room charges and taxes to guest accounts, including any additional guest transactions. They will also comply with and maintain files and reset systems for next day operations/functions.

Schedule

Mon-Sun: Weekends are mandatory: 11pm-7am

Responsibilities
  • Greet, assist, and register guests upon arrival into the computer system, verifying reservation information
  • Respond to guest needs, special requests, and complaints. Communicate all guest needs to the next shift
  • Verify that all charges (room rates, discounts, etc.) are assigned to the appropriate departments/guest accounts
  • Print and file reservations for the next business day
  • Prepare daily reports as required by management
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
  • Prepare End of Day procedures
  • Balance the day’s charges, making corrections as necessary
  • Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the PC to generate daily reports
  • Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for next day operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager based on hotel needs

Regular attendance is essential. Employees with irregular attendance may face disciplinary action, including termination.

Employees may be required to work varying schedules and holidays based on hotel needs.

All employees must comply with hotel rules and regulations. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including termination.

Education Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or related training providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Indoor environment with protection from weather. Standing for long periods, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, bending, grasping, and repetitive motions of hands and wrists are required. Must work all night hours and lift up to 25 pounds.

Grooming

Maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene. Dress in a neat, businesslike manner to project the hotel’s image and provide excellent guest service.
