Job summary

Residence Inn Kenwood, part of Commonwealth Hotels, is hiring a Hotel Night Auditor / Overnight Front Desk professional in Kenwood, Ohio. You will support check-in/out, reservations, guest services, and security while delivering exceptional hospitality aligned with Marriott-brand standards.

Ideal candidates bring guest-facing experience, strong communication, and comfort with PMS systems. Weekend/holiday availability is typical in this role, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • Experience in guest-facing roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with reservation or property management systems (PMS).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for guests and team members.
  • Experience handling guest requests, complaints or conflicts calmly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks (phones, reservations, guest needs) simultaneously.
  • Hospitality or Front Desk experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Check-In and Check-Out: assist guests efficiently and welcome them.
  • Reservations Management: handle room bookings, cancellations, and changes accurately.
  • Customer Service: respond promptly to inquiries, complaints and requests.
  • Payment Processing: process charges, deposits, and refunds per policy.
  • Communication Hub: coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to resolve issues.
  • Providing Information: share hotel services and local attractions with guests.
  • Problem-Solving: address concerns and escalate when needed.
  • Maintaining Records: keep accurate guest stay and payment records in the PMS.
  • Promoting Hotel Services: upsell rooms and hotel amenities.
  • Ensuring Security: follow safety protocols and verify guest identification.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Information: Offering information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transportation options to assist guests with their plans.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolving guest concerns or complaints effectively, escalating issues when necessary to maintain satisfaction.
  • Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate and organized records of guest stays, payments, and interactions in the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
  • Promoting Hotel Services: Upselling rooms and promoting hotel amenities, such as dining options or event spaces, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensuring Security: Following safety and security protocols to safeguard guests, staff, and property, including verifying guest identification and monitoring for suspicious activity.
What We are Looking for in a Hotel Night Auditor, Overnight Guest Service Agent, Overnight, or Overnight Front Office Agent:
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, such as in hospitality, retail, or food service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with using computers and software systems, especially reservation or property management systems (PMS)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with guests and team members professionally and clearly.
  • Experience handling guest complaints or resolving conflicts in a calm and effective manner is an asset.
  • Previous roles that required managing multiple tasks, such as answering phones, handling reservations, and assisting guests simultaneously, prepare candidates for the demands of the job.
  • Hospitality or Front Desk Experience (Preferred)
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in jobs with irregular hours, such as evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, helps demonstrate adaptability to the hospitality industry's demands.
