Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and shift reports. The Night Auditor will also attend to guest needs such as check-ins/check-outs, making reservations, and answering questions.

• Proactive thinking, ensuring guest security, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Counting cash and maintaining accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Checking the front desk log for issues, special requests, etc.
• Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
• Processing guest registrations and payments.
• Preparing express checkout folios.
• Maintaining room status inventory.
• Communicating shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts by sharing pertinent information.
• Collaborating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Answering inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local recommendations.
• Completing shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
