Embassy Suites by Hilton is hiring a Part-Time Night Auditor in Charlotte, NC. You will serve as overnight MOD, verify daily balances, and ensure accurate accounting for all hotel departments.

The role requires 1–2 years of hotel night audit experience, strong Excel skills, and flexibility to cover night shifts. Weekend work may be required; daily pay option is available.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Strong math and reconciliation abilities.
• Experience with hotel reservation systems such as FOSSE or PEP is a plus.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate shifts.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed customer and team member expectations through service and teamwork.
• Verify and balance daily charges for all departments to folios and accounts; make corrections per policy.
• Run nightly processing to reset for the next day.
• Audit food/beverage income posting and charges as applicable.
• Audit room revenue and other income.
• Review credit card vouchers for accuracy and imprinting.
• Process all city ledger work to accounting.
• Follow hotel policies and maintain good working relationships.
• Perform night clerk duties as Guest Service Representative as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or GM.
• Achieve required threshold scores per brand and company inspections.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton, located near the Charlotte airport, is currently hiring for a part-timeNight Auditor. The hours for this position are 11pm-7am; weekday and weekend availability is required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide efficient and courteous service to each customer; accurately computing the daily income of the hotel by verifying that all customer accounts are correct and in balance by the following morning and functioning as the overnight Manager-on-Duty (MOD) in accordance with company policies and procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork
• Verifies and balances daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts; makes corrections as necessary in accordance with company policy
• Runs computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day’s use in balancing of applicable functions
• If applicable to hotel, audits food and beverage income posting and charges
• Audits room revenue and other income
• Reviews all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations, and correct amounts
• Processes all city ledger work to accounting
• Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
• Performs night clerk duties as Guest Service Representative in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
• Performs such other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or General Manager
• Must achieve required threshold scores according to brand and company inspections

REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years of experience working as a Hotel Night Auditor
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent math and reconciliation skills
• Experience using hotel reservation system such as FOSSE or PEP is a plus
• Organization skills and attention to detail
• Customer Service oriented
• Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute changes in scheduling
• Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests

JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment. The Night Auditor must be able to stand for long periods of time and quickly maneuver to any location in the hotel. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
