Position Summary

Shift hours are 11pm to 7am. The candidate is required to act as Night Manager any day of the week, including public holidays.

Responsibilities
  1. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  2. Prepare Daily Revenue Reports nightly to accurately break out the day's revenue for management and ownership.
  3. Review shift logs and daily memo books, documenting pertinent information in logbooks.
  4. Coordinate with appropriate departments (e.g., Front Office, Housekeeping) to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues.
  5. Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, verifying guest identity, requesting payment, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  6. Sell rooms or accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability.
  7. Ensure rates match market codes and document any exceptions.
  8. Scan and charge checks from outlets (e.g., Restaurant, Health Club, Retail Shop) to guest rooms.
Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a full-service hotel.
  • Experience in Marriott Hotels or other full-service hotel brands is advantageous.

Follow all company safety, security policies, and procedures; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. Provide excellent guest service, anticipate guest needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop positive relationships with colleagues and respond to concerns appropriately. Ensure adherence to quality standards at Stamford Marriott. Physical requirements include reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
