UChicago Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Night APP Team. This 100% onsite role covers three inpatient services (Leukemia, Cellular Therapy, Chemotherapy) with fellows and attending support.

You will work independently after orientation and based in the greater Chicagoland area. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will manage a caseload of inpatients, exercise autonomous decision making, and participate in crisis management.

Qualificações

• Advanced degree (or equivalent) from an accredited nursing or PA program is required.
• Ability to obtain Illinois APN license by start date.
• Current RN license required and ACLS certification.
• ACNP/ANP-BC certification required or eligible.
• ACLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of inpatients with autonomous decision making.
• Assess and interpret diagnostic tests and develop a plan of care.
• Coordinate with fellows, attendings, nursing staff and other team members.
• Initiate appropriate pharmacologic therapies and manage oncologic emergencies (neutropenic fever, TLS, CRS).
• Document database, impression and plan of care accurately and timely.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
