Job summary

Pendleton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Mystic, CT is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for nights and weekend shifts. You will assist with meal prep, tray assembly, and serving residents and staff in a clean, safe dietary area.

This role requires teamwork, following written and verbal instructions, good communication, and a willingness to work rotating shifts, including holidays.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a health care setting, requiring regular walking to various locations around the facility while pulling or pushing dietary carts. The dietary department may experience extreme temperature changes from excessive heat in the cooking area to freezing temperatures in walk-in freezers. This role may also come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This part-time position is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and requires rotating shifts, as well as holiday and work during inclement weather.
