Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Technician for night shift in Tucson. The role involves receiving and processing pathology specimens, preparing samples for testing, and performing waived and moderately complex assays under CLIA guidelines.

The position requires an Associate’s degree or ASCP HT registry (or a BA with certification within 6 months) and strong interpersonal skills to train staff and support QA/QC activities in a busy laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or ASCP HT registry; or a Bachelor’s degree with pathology certification documents within 6 months of hire.
• Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the Anatomic Pathology section; demonstrated competency in all aspects of work.
• Must have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; supports a drug-free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, examine and process pathology specimens.
• Perform waived and moderately complex tests as defined by CLIA ’88; may perform highly complex testing under supervision.
• Train employees on basic entry level tasks and assist in QA/QC duties.
