Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Machine Operator Assistant for 2nd or 3rd shift at our Illinois facility. The starting wage is $22.10 per hour with potential increases after the probation period.

Training starts on 1st shift for the first three weeks, with progression to the designated shift and ongoing coaching from experienced crew members. Employees are eligible for a retention bonus, shift differentials, health insurance after 60 days, and a range of benefits including 401(k) matching and paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, calibration and operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
• Document production data and maintenance activities accurately.
• Follow safety protocols to promote a safe work environment.
