Job summary

Onyx Point, LLC in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Senior COE Systems Engineer focused on Apache NiFi to own and optimize mission data pipelines. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Extensive, demonstrable Apache NiFi expertise with flows you designed and debugged.
• Ten years of full-time experience designing, implementing, and deploying COE systems incl. networks.
• Three years remote COE dataflow configuration and management for national repositories.
• Active TS/SCI clearance (maintainable for duration).
• Ability to work on-site in Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain NiFi dataflows for COE mission data operations.
• Tune NiFi for throughput, reliability, and recoverability with back pressure and clustering.
• Develop and integrate custom processors and controller services.
• Configure and manage remote COE dataflows and data ingestion per repository standards.
• Engineer data configuration and routing to meet mission requirements and post-mission delivery.
• Troubleshoot dataflow issues during active missions under time pressure.
• Support surrounding infrastructure including systems, virtualization, and networks.
• Apply configuration management practices across the dataflow environment.
