Job summary

stanleyreid is seeking an experienced NiFi Engineer to build, manage, and optimize complex data flows and pipelines in an on-site setting in Ashburn, VA.

Qualified candidates will have a 5+ year background in data engineering or related fields, with hands-on NiFi, NiFi Registry, Linux/Unix CLI, and scripting in Python/Bash/Java. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, pipelines, or related roles.
• Hands-on Apache NiFi experience.
• Experience with NiFi Registry, Linux/Unix CLI, and scripting in Python, Bash or Java.
• Familiarity with NoSQL, Spark/Hadoop/Elasticsearch and cloud services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job description

Our client is the prime of a sole source contract. They are seeking an experienced NiFi Engineer to build, manage and optimize complex data flows and pipelines. This role involves design, developing, cluster administration, data integration, and troubleshooting.

Qualified candidates will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, systems engineering, or software development focusing on data pipelines.
• In-depth hands-on experience with Apache NiFi.
• Experience with NiFi Registry, Linux/Unix CLI, and scripting in Python, Bash, or Java.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch), and cloud services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Clearance:

Active TS/SCI + FS Poly required.

This work is 100% onsite in Ashburn-VA. It requires an active TS/SCI + FS Poly government clearance. In addition to strong salaries, they provide 100% employer paid Medical and Dental insurance as well as provide an HRA to cover deductibles.
