Outstanding scholars anywhere in the world are eligible to apply. NCGG invites candidates with a background in political science, economics, modern history, sociology, anthropology, law and business.

Each post-doctoral associate (NCGG Fellow) will pursue research and contribute to the intellectual life of NCGG and the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. One postdoctoral research associate position is designed for an individual whose research interests overlap with those of the Princeton Sovereign Finance Lab (PSFL), and who will work partly on PSFL-related projects. (Applicants can indicate their interest in consideration for this slot as part of the application process). All NCGG Fellows are expected to participate in NCGG research seminars and related weekly meetings, as well as occasional lectures, conferences, and other events for the expected duration of the fellowship (July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2028). Appointments are for one year and are not renewable.

Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary and applicable Princeton University benefits in accordance with university guidelines, as well as a taxable moving allowance and a research allowance. The work location for this position is in-person at Princeton University. It is necessary to have the ability to be on campus each weekday to fulfill responsibilities relating to in-person participation for the expected duration of the fellowship period (July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2028).
