Job summary

Community Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on a PRN basis. The role requires a current RN license, ADN, BLS, STABLE/NRP readiness, and at least 3 years of NICU experience.

Shifts are 12 hours, day or night, with weekend/holiday coverage and rotation among units. The RN will apply nursing processes from admission to discharge, provide patient advocacy and education, and participate in a multi-unit rotation with orientation to at

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS Certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• STABLE certification OR obtained after 6 months nursery experience but prior to 12 months nursery experience.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 90 days after hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent NICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to discharge or transfer.
• Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
• Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
