Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP certification.
• PALS and COAP preferred.
• Minimum 1 year NICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Administers medications within RN scope of practice.
• Promotes patient independence by teaching patients and families about conditions and self-care.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of nursing tasks with creativity and latitude.
• Reports to a unit manager or department head.
