Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part-time NICU RN, Level 3 NICU with 28 beds, provides postnatal care to preterm and term neonates requiring specialized management.

The role includes attending births, monitoring infants, educating parents, and contributing to nursing quality. Compensation: hourly range $36.15–$59.95; per diem with rotating shifts; Trinity Health Of New England offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
• BLS CPR certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required for Per Diem.

Responsibilities

• Attend births and provide care for infants with medical complications directly after birth.
• Monitor the health of infants with medical issues such as prematurity or congenital defects.
• Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and safety.
• Contribute to nursing care quality through performance improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with admin, colleagues, patients and families.
• Demonstrate problem solving and teamwork to support care delivery.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

BSN degree preferred
