Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN will provide direct patient care in a hospital setting, adhere to nursing process, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating with interdisciplinary providers, prioritizing care with patients and families, and identifying at-risk patients to prepare a safe room environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• NRP preferred.
• 1 year of RN NICU experience required.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Position Description: RN- NICU

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
