Job summary

BayCare Health System, Mother and Baby Unit-MPH in Morton Plant, seeks a Mother/Baby Registered Nurse for night shifts to provide patient-centered care in a hospital setting. The RN will work independently using the nursing process and collaborate with the care team to develop and implement plans of care.

Required are RN licensure, BLS, NRP, and at least one year of acute care experience; an Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with Mother/Baby RN experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• At least one year of RN acute care experience.
• Mother/Baby RN experience highly preferred.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury and prepares room environment.

Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
