Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the NICU as full-time staff. The RN will coordinate NICU clinical activities, supervise LPNs, unit assistants and CNAs, and ensure care aligns with hospital standards.

Nursing staff may float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed. The position requires completion of a Board Certified Nursing Program, a current LA RN license, and BLS; NRP and PALS within 90 days, with ILCOR courses acceptable.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Nursing Program completed.
• Current LA RN license.
• 1 year of Level IV NICU experience in the past 12 months or 2 years Level III NICU experience in the past 3 years.
• Current BLS required upon hire. NRP and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
• ILCOR courses (e.g., AHA/Red Cross) with manikin check-off.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NICU clinical activities using the nursing process.
• Supervise LPNs, Unit Assistants and CNAs.
• Float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed.
• Comply with hospital policies and nursing standards.
