Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Clinical Manager (ACM) to coordinate patient care operations for shifts, applying nursing processes and evidence-based practices to assess, plan, and evaluate care. The ACM will supervise RNs, CNAs, and other staff across units.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, NICU experience, and leadership abilities to coordinate teams, improve quality and ensure compliance with the ANA standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Recent Level II NICU experience.
• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• National Certification in specialty within 2 years of hire.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NRP certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
• Knowledge of health care delivery systems, nursing process, and case coordination.
• Knowledge of computers, hospital information systems, and patient care applications.
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize adult learning principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Assigns patient assignments to RNs, CNAs, Nurse Externs, and other team members.
• Prepares patient-care assignments using Relationship Based Care; considers patient load and admissions/discharges.
• Participates in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for unit staff.
• Strives for quality outcomes and innovative nursing practice per Florida Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Leads interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes; models leadership techniques.
